What it does
A shared shift board where employees post shifts they need covered and pick up shifts from teammates. Managers see every pending swap in one queue, approve or deny with a tap, and the board keeps a log so nobody argues about who agreed to what.
What you'll need
Your staff list: name, phone or email, and which roles they can cover.
A published schedule — a spreadsheet or a screenshot of your current one is fine.
Your swap rules: how many hours notice, who can cover what, whether swaps need approval.
How to set it up
- 1Import your staff list from a spreadsheet or add them one at a time.
- 2Tag each employee with the roles they can cover (server, bar, kitchen, register).
- 3Set your swap rules: minimum notice, role-matching, and whether a manager has to approve.
- 4Post this week’s schedule and give your team the link.
- 5Watch the first week, then adjust the rules based on what actually happens.
